Regulations
The Department for Transport (DfT) are the responsible Government Department that licenses export packers (such as ourselves) to handle and pack various categories of hazardous, or dangerous goods. Clearly, any goods of this type that are scheduled for transport must be packed and certified as safe by a trained operator who is licensed to carry out this work in accordance with all relevant safety regulations.
On a day to day basis, airline operators will only accept DG complying with the International Air Transport Association's Dangerous Goods 'Regulations' (IATA DGR), see: IATA Dangerous Goods for more information
UN Approved Packing Receptacles
The UN specifies the type of packaging that must be used to ship certain Hazardous Goods by road, rail, sea or air. Export Packing Services has access to a wide range of such approved packaging and will ensure that the goods you want to ship are properly contained within a UN approved receptacle and marked according to the contents. Carriage by ROAD
Regulation is via the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). Get more information from the Health & Safety Executive relating to DG's road transport.
Carriage by RAIL
The carriage of dangerous goods by rail is governed by Appendix C of the Convention Covering International Carriage by Rail - International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail. Carriage by SEA
The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code provides guidance on transporting dangerous goods by sea.

Carriage by AIR CARGO
The International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) Technical Instructions are an internationally agreed set of provisions governing the requirements for transporting dangerous goods by air. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) publishes the Dangerous Goods Regulations in accordance with the ICAO technical instructions.
